Denver has become the image of Colorado for many people across the globe. It is a fact that when I travel you come across someone from another part of the globe, someone who is from New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado and the first word that comes out of their mouth is"Oh John Denver! Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads was among Denver's top 10 solo hit after appearing with a small group of folk musicians. It was co-written and produced by Bill Danoff. Danoff had originally written the tune to Johnny Cash's tune in head, however Denver realized from the first moment he heard initial versions that it was going to be an instant hit.
