Singer-songwriter John Denver touched millions of people, and achieved superstar status thanks to his folk-inspired songs with a lot of them being set in Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Deutschedorf at Roswell near New Mexico fell in Love with Colorado. He settled in Aspen. Denver's songs that he sang about his new home state have brought many others to make the move to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame has stated in his report that John Denver was the best artist to capture Colorado. The year 2011 was the year that John Denver was named the Hall of Fame's very first inductee. Denver is viewed as the embodiment of Colorado by people across the world. It is a fact that when I travel you encounter someone on the other end of the planet, someone of New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado and the first thing that comes out of their mouths is"Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief time in a folk group, was Denver's debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff wrote the tune to imitate the style of Johnny Cash, but Denver discovered an early version of the song and realized it was going to be a top 10 hit. The artist recorded the song in just a few weeks after performing it to crowds that were enthralled who were in Washington D.C.
