Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson
Nancy Wilson was born 20th February 1937 in Chillicothe. She was the daughter of Olden Wilson, an iron worker, and Lillian Ryan (a former housemaid). Nancy was the sixth of seven kids. Her father's love of music as well as the music he played in the family room were an enormous influence on Nancy as a young girl. In her early years she had already developed an idea of who she was and what she hoped to accomplish. The choir at church encouraged her to develop this talent. She was a finalist on a talent show on TV in her 15th year and then began appearing regularly on the Tv show Skyline Melodies while still in high school. The same year, Nancy began to perform in nightclubs. Nancy was a high school graduate aged 17 and enrolled in Ohio's Central State College, now Central State University for a full year. Then she dropped out to pursue a career as a professional musician. In 1956 she made her debut album along with Rusty Bryant's Carolyn Club Big Band. They toured together between 1956 and 1958. Nancy recorded her first album through Dot Records during the time she spent in this band. Cannonball Aderley suggested she move in New York so as to improve her career. In 1959 she moved to The Big Town. After just a few days after, her manager saw her performance and decided to hire her. She made her recording debut in 1960 by releasing the single "Girls" after she signed the contract with Capitol Records. Guess Who I Saw Today. Capitol Records came out with five Nancy Wilson albums over a time span of 2 years. Adderley influenced her to move away from R&B in favor of jazz and torch song. Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley's collaboration in 1962 helped to make her a star and her hit Tell Me the Truth was made available in the year 1963. The following year, she was asked to perform at New York's Coconut Grove, the most sought-after night club in America.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers is a British TV and film actress. She was the main character for Chloe Winthrop, in Netflix's film The Kissing Booth. She played Michal, one of the daughters of King Saul in ABC's biblical show Of Kings and Prophets.
