Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. Her current position is that as the president of Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss is the daughter of a California born and raised in a wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was a real-estate magnate who later owned the Lakers along with several other companies in the field of sports. When her parents broke up in 1972 she felt that they had abandoned her. As a 19-year-old, she took over management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as General Manager. She founded later the Los Angeles Blades, a professional, roller-hockey club. She was the president at the Great Western Forum, before becoming the Vice President of the Lakers. Buss as well as her five sisters inherited the Lakers controlling ownership after the death of Bussher father in 2013. Each sister had an equal voice. In 2013, she took charge of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also the co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling organization based at Los Angeles.
